Mailing list

I’ve put together a mailing list for friends and family who might be interested in where I’m at and what’s going on in my life. I’m the only one who is able to post to the list, so you shouldn’t get any extra spam. I’ll try and post a message to this list whenever I get internet access. I’ll also post notifications whenever I add anything new to the website. If you’d like to subscribe, click here. or read the archives.

If you want to get ahold of me email me at: jason AT jasonrose DOT com

Sorry about the AT and the DOT instead of @ and . and the extra whitespace, but I’d like to keep that address as spam free as possible.

  1. Hey Jason,

MAN! This is a cool website. Much of what I had visualized during our talks resembles the gallery here. I imagined easy exaggerations (as city people tend to do) though I found none. I feel good just looking at what you have accomplished here and envy you as I prepare for my first winter with Western. Those pics of Mexico are unreal! Everyone seems to play guitar, play in the ocean and drink. Does this signal pre-unofficial, semi-early, endless retirement? Also known as P-U-S-E-E for the rest of your life? I may be spitballin’ here but I think I hit the nail on the head with that one.

Killer pick guard on the acoustic! If I can wear mine down I will follow suit on that one. Keep havin’ fun down there and I’ll keep checkin’ the pages.

And by the way, I don’t think the web coverage of the barge went over too well at the office. Everyone seemed to know a lot about your documentary.

    Keep it real, Gavin

  2. Hey Jason,

ONe more thing. I went to guitar center and they have coated strings for guitars in bad weather. The guy mentioned Elixirs nanos and Cleartones. The Elixirs frey when they go bad but the Cleartones will (supposedly) stand up to the salt and remain playable after the coating is gone. I think they both come in extra lights too if your thinking about using them on that martin.

    Later, Gavin

  3. Holy shit balls,

What is this? Are you in some type of Mexican modeling contest or what? Did you join a band such as N’Sync or Menudo! Just playin man, but seriously, what’s up with the Mexican bluegrass scene? How were the musicians you ran into in your last update?

Just went to guitar center to research a future strat-style purchase. Disgusted by the price and similarity of the base model ($90) and the American Deluxe ($1200). Either I am completely tone-deaf or the amp really does contribute to 80% of the sound quality. Also played a Gibson Les Paul and an SG- both made me feel like a hero of the rock-n-roll arena. I think I will end up buying a squire strat and rock it on the boat with a mini effects processor. Beating the thing like it was our 5000th shackle in near complete darkness. If you know I’m talking about.

Can’t buy a boat for now either bro. Had to make a career move and started the mate school at PMI. AHOY
